When working on any mechanical task, especially on a woman's behalf, it is imperitive that the craftsman acquires a certain number of cuts (busted knuckles etc). Furthermore, when asked about the blood, the craftsman can't specfically recall when the cuts were acquired. This time is used as a review of the important contributions the man has made during the day. Example: Woman says, "What happened to your hand?" Man replies, "Oh, that? I must have cut it while (sharpening my knives), (adjusting the fan belt on the Olds), (rebuiliding the lawn mower), (chopping down all those pesky trees), (fixing the tractor) etc. -PeterWP & G voted:
