When your son farts or burps in mixed company, including that of his mother, never give him the praise and encouragement he deserves. We all know too well, the reaction he'll get from her. (After all, SHE would NEVER do such a crude thing in public.) Instead, march him directly into another room, announcing that it's time to straighten him out about being so rude. Once behind closed doors, tell him again about the rites & ritauls of being a man, then praise him and tell him how proud he makes you that he's learning so well. -Pat RioWP & G voted:
